This is a good starter Set of 3 tin punch tools
The tapered point tip is a universal tool in tin punch. It makes tiny indentations or holes up to 1/8". It will leave a sharp edge on the rough side (back) of the tin.
The lampmakers chisels mini (3/16") and 7/16" make a slit- various sizes can be made depending on how hard you hit with your hammer.
This set also comes with a 5" x 7" practice piece of tin
